Golden Visa

The "Golden Visa" Program was launched by the Portuguese authorities in October 2012, and is a fast track for foreign investors from non-EU countries to obtain a valid permanent residence permit in Portugal, and also allowing them to travel freely in most European countries (Schengen Area).

Under the "Golden Visa" program, non-EU citizens only need to make one of the investments required by law to obtain a residence permit in Portugal. With the aim of attracting foreign investment to Portugal, the Golden Visa is a very simple and flexible program, with the legal requirements simple and clear.
